After an incredible summer of sunshine and musical events, you may find yourself asking “How could it get any better?”. The answer, of course, is the return of Halifax’s independent beer festival, The Indyfax. From 25th until 30th August, Dukes, Good Mood, The Grayston Unity, Loafers, KØBENHAVN, Meandering Beer and The Victorian Craft Beer Café will be celebrating, bringing you over 100 different beers from around the country. It will also be KØBENHAVN’s third birthday. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun?

Indyfax returns to post apocalyptic Britain celebrating the greatness that is the independent craft beer scene of Halifax. Say hello to our new friends at Dukes and Good Mood as well as old favourites The Grayston, Alex and Meandering Bear. Our sister bar KØBENHAVN will the celebrating its 2nd Birthday and we will be officially launching the second beer from our Second Sight brewery, Just the ‘Fax. A juicy pale at 5.2%. What’s not to like?

After years of been asked why we don’t brew our own beer, we can introduce our brand new brewery, under the Second Sight Brew Co brand. If you see Chris, our brewer, drink his beer and give him some feedback.

At the beginning of July we will be hosting yet another of our Belgian beer events. Our taps will be adorned with everything from Wits to Quads, Flemish Reds to Tripels. A large selection of 330ml bottles and 750ml bottles for those who like to share.

We’re hugely excited to announce that we’re hosting a tap take over from two excellent York based breweries. You’ll also have a chance to meet the brewers and find out more about the 14 beers they’ll each be bringing!

That’s right, 28 beers in total! 5 cask and 9 keg beers from both breweries for you to get stuck in to!

As well as that, we’ll be a receiving a ‘Highly Commended’ award from Halifax and Calderdale CAMRA for the 2019 Pub of the Year competition. That will be around 7pm.

Good news! We’ve just increased the number of taps at the bar to 18 to offer you more choice and to make it more exciting for us. To be honest, we’ve had the feeling that 12 taps wasn’t enough for a while now – there are just too many beers styles in the world. If we can find more room at the bar and if our beer cellar (read engine room) can take it, the temptation to add another 6 next year might be too much for us to bare. Until then, enjoy more IPAs, Belgian, sours and saisons. Our 10 handpulled beers/ciders remain unaffected.
